Job summary

Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to perform general maintenance on parks, public spaces, and aquatic facilities. The role includes carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, irrigation system upkeep, and seasonal tasks such as snow removal.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Must obtain Kansas CDL Class B with air brakes within six months.
Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
Ability to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Experience in facility maintenance or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair on structures and facilities (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry).
Maintain pool, splash pads, and aquatic facility systems.
Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems.
Operate a variety of tools and maintenance vehicles.
Assist with snow removal and seasonal tasks.
Keep accurate records of inspections and repairs.
