Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior data stewardship leader to embed within the Water Business Group and shape how Water data is defined, shared, and used across service lines. The role focuses on enabling data-driven delivery and cross-team alignment on data governance.

Ideal candidates bring deep experience in the Water industry, a track record influencing leaders, and the ability to translate complex data concepts into practical guidance for project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years in the Water engineering industry.
• Experience leading diverse teams.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and operations managers.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate a network of SME expertise across the Water Business Group to define technical standards.
• Develop and maintain data definitions for engineering and technical terms to support data models, reporting, automation, and AI use cases.
• Promote data governance and responsible use of data across the organization.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards, practices, and tools across the Water BG.
• Regularly communicate with Data Stewards and Enterprise Data Teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline
