Job summary

HDR is seeking a seasoned Data Steward for the Water Business Group to define and enable use of Water data across multiple service lines. The role emphasizes governance, data definitions, and facilitating adoption of data practices within project delivery teams.

Embedded in a stakeholder-driven environment, the position requires strong leadership, data fluency, and the ability to translate complex practices into actionable guidance while aligning with HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years in the Water engineering industry.
• Proven track record leading diverse teams and driving change.

Responsibilities

• Define and align data standards across the Water Business Group.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for key terms.
• Promote data quality, reuse, and responsible use of data.
• Govern externally sourced datasets and lifecycle considerations.
• Collaborate with Data Stewards, Enterprise Data Science, and Ops teams.
