Job summary

HDR seeks a senior data steward within the Water Business Group to shape how data is defined, shared, and used across disciplines. You will coordinate SME networks, develop standard data definitions, and promote best practices across projects, ensuring data quality and governance across teams.

This role emphasizes enablement, collaboration, and leadership. Embedded in the Water BG, this position focuses on enabling use of Water data across service lines, with an emphasis on alignment to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of strategic leadership experience in change management and data.
• Fifteen years of experience providing data-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate a network of SME expertise to define technical standards.
• Develop and maintain data definitions for engineering terms supporting data models and AI use cases.
• Promote consistent use of technical data, including access, quality, and reuse.
• Govern externally sourced datasets and manage storage and lifecycle considerations.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools across the Water BG.
