Job summary

iicrc-careers is seeking a Water Restoration Technician to monitor and complete drying, demolition and restoration activities at residential or commercial sites. You will review notes, photos, and documents for insurance reimbursements and explain next steps to customers in person.

Responsibilities include loading equipment, performing water extraction, and ensuring quality control, with attention to safety and timely project completion. Training and certifications are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience in restoration or construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load truck with required equipment and supplies for each job.
• Explain restoration processes to customers and outline next steps.
• Complete jobs per company procedures with quality control on each task.
• Perform water damage repair including water extraction, packing out contents, and light demolition as directed.
• Ensure equipment and products are handled properly; report malfunctions.
• Inspect completed jobs, obtain customer signatures, and request payments when appropriate.
• Monitor daily drying plans and adjust based on meter readings.
• Resolve customer issues and communicate updates to supervisor and staff.
• Prepare documentation and photos to support insurance reimbursement.
