Job summary

iicrc-careers is seeking an on-site Water Damage Restoration Technician to monitor, inspect and complete tasks for restoration jobs. You will prepare notes, photos and documents to secure insurance reimbursements and explain processes to customers in person.

Responsibilities include loading trucks, performing extraction and light demolition, maintaining safety and quality, and coordinating with supervisors to resolve customer issues and finalize payments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Experience in restoration or construction is not required but preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Experience with mobile data entry.
• Ability to read and follow product label usage instructions.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves work orders, checks route for travel, ensures equipment and supplies are loaded, and arrives on site.
• Explains processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to customers using printed materials.
• Completes assigned jobs according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job.
• Performs water damage repair including extraction, pack-out of contents, demolition, and light construction as directed by supervisor.
• Ensures equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products are properly handled; reports any issues to supervisor.
• Inspects jobs after completion, obtains customer signatures, and requests payments when necessary.
• Performs daily monitoring and tasks on assigned water jobs for residential/commercial customers with urgency.
• Adjusts the drying plan based on meter readings.
• Resolves issues with customers and communicates daily job activities with supervisor and key staff.
• Prepares documentation and photographs to ensure reimbursement from insurance companies.
