Job summary

iicrc is seeking a Water Restoration Technician to monitor, inspect and complete tasks on water restoration jobs, ensuring drying, demolition and restoration activities meet standards. You will prepare photos and notes for insurance documentation and explain the process to customers.

Responsibilities include loading equipment, performing water extraction, packing out contents, minor construction, and reporting issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; restoration experience preferred.
• Experience in restoration or construction is a plus but not required.
• Good written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and follow product label instructions; punctuality and neat appearance.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves work orders, plans travel, loads needed equipment and supplies for each job.
• Explain processes to customers and provide next steps with printed materials as guide.
• Complete jobs per company processes while ensuring quality control.
• Perform water damage repair including extraction, packing out contents, and light demolition as directed.
• Ensure equipment and vehicles are properly handled; report any malfunctions.
• Inspect jobs after completion, obtain customer signatures and request payments when appropriate.
• Monitor daily drying plan and adjust based on meter readings; communicate progress to supervisor.
• Resolve customer issues and coordinate with supervisor and staff; document outcomes.
