Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Restoration Technician to perform on-site water extraction, drying, mold remediation and related reconstruction tasks in Cincinnati. The role emphasizes organizational skills and excellent customer service while working under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include responding to service calls, operating water, mold and fire cleaning equipment, and maintaining equipment and PPE.

Qualifications

• IICRC WRT Certification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate water, mold and fire cleaning equipment efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs. - 75 lbs. consistently.
• Background check with no disqualifying offenses in the past 10 years.
• Cheerfully available for after-hours and emergency events as needed.
• Insurable driver's license with clean driving record and ability to drive company vehicles under 10,000 lb. GVW.
• Ability to tow company trailers.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good attendance.

Restoration Technicians are expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of on-site production services, including, but not limited to: water extraction, the drying process, fire cleaning / deodorization, mold remediation and related reconstruction tasks. He/she must demonstrate organizational and problem-solving skills and exemplary customer service skills. While a restoration technicians' primary role and expertise will be in water damage restoration, the cheerful participation in other related tasks such as fire damage restoration and small reconstruction services is expected.

Required Resources:

• Must be able to pass a background check and be free of violent crime convictions or theft-related felonies within the past 10 years.

Trained to Excel in:

• Securing signed work authorization & other relevant forms
• Moisture investigation/ Mapping/ Basic Scope Development
• Safe and timely completion of daily restoration related tasks.
• Completion of paperwork and/or real time input of drying conditions in system such as MICA and RMS
• Ability to operate efficiently with minimum supervision

Job Requirements:

• Ability to operate all water, mold and fire cleaning equipment efficiently with minimal or no supervision
• Cleaning / decontamination / maintenance of equipment after job
• Fleet vehicle maintenance / cleaning
• Shop and office organization / cleaning
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs. - 75 lbs. consistently
• Physically able to work in Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Cheerfully available for after-hours, large loss and/or inclement weather emergency events on an as needed and rotational basis per current staffing levels
• Insurable drivers license with clean driving record and the ability to drive company vehicles under 10,000 lb. GVW
• Ability to tow all company-owned trailers
• Maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance
• Demonstrate a positive attitude in the work environment
• Maintain a good attendance record infrequent tardiness
