Job summary

1-800 WATER DAMAGE of Cincinnati / Dayton, OH is seeking a Restoration Technician to perform water extraction, drying, mold remediation and related reconstruction tasks on-site. Strong customer service, organization and problem solving are essential.

Candidates should have IICRC WRT or equivalent experience and be able to pass a background check. Training and advancement opportunities are available as part of a focused restoration team.

Qualifications

• IICRC WRT Certification or equivalent experience is required.
• Moisture investigation, mapping and basic scope development are emphasized.
• Safe, timely completion of restoration tasks with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction and the drying process.
• Handle mold remediation and related reconstruction tasks.
• Provide exemplary customer service and clear communication on-site.
• Assist with fire damage restoration and related tasks when needed.
• Complete daily restoration paperwork in MICA and RMS.

Restoration Technicians are expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of on-site production services, including, but not limited to: water extraction, the drying process, fire cleaning / deodorization, mold remediation and related reconstruction tasks. He/she must demonstrate organizational and problem-solving skills and exemplary customer service skills. While a restoration technicians’ primary role and expertise will be in water damage restoration, the cheerful participation in other related tasks such as fire damage restoration and small reconstruction services is expected.

Required Resources:

• Personal mobile Smart phone (preferably Apple based)

• Must be able to pass a background check and be free of violent crime convictions or theft-related felonies within the past 10 years.

Trained to Excel in:

• Securing signed work authorization & other relevant forms
• Moisture investigation/ Mapping/ Basic Scope Development
• Safe and timely completion of daily restoration related tasks.
• Completion of paperwork and/or real time input of drying conditions in system such as MICA and RMS
• Ability to operate efficiently with minimum supervision

Job Requirements:

• Perform regular restoration duties and respond to service calls as needed
• Ability to operate all water, mold and fire cleaning equipment efficiently with minimal or no supervision
