Job summary

GHD is seeking a Conveyance Engineer for our Northern California offices to support water and wastewater projects within the Design Delivery Organization (DDO). This hybrid role blends in-office collaboration with flexible work arrangements.

You will develop PS&E packages, conduct hydraulic analyses, and prepare design reports, using AutoCAD, Civil3D and MicroStation, with strong client coordination and budgeting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 5+ years of applied civil engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer license preferred in California or can be acquired within 5 years.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities to work both within a team and independently.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software programs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DDO on water and wastewater projects including conveyance, storage and pumping design.
• Develop PS&E packages and technical reports for delivery.
• Conduct field work to evaluate project requirements and support construction administration.
• Perform hydraulic analyses using manual or computer-based software applications.
• Prepare design reports, project specifications, and cost estimates.
• Employ AutoCAD and Civil3D to produce construction plan sets.
