Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Resident Project Representative to join our construction group in a hands-on on-site role. You will provide technical direction to subcontractors, interpret design requirements, and coordinate with field teams to keep projects on schedule.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-site problem solving, with opportunities for professional development in construction management and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Pre-employment background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical direction/interpretation of design drawings and specification requirements to subcontractors.
• Provides commercial direction and administers subcontracts in coordination with Field.
• Acts as Subcontract Administrator or Procurement Manager.
• Reviews, maintains records, and responds to Contractor Requests (RFMPs/WAs).
• Monitors subcontractor compliance with technical requirements and CPM schedule.
• Prepares and issues discipline extra work authorization requests with Project Field Manager approval.
• Maintains daily site logs and collects quantity take-offs for planning/invoicing.
• Reviews subcontractor progress payments for acceptance and tracks RFIs.
