Job summary

Allstate Long Island City is seeking a Moderate Inside Property Adjuster to provide exceptional service to policyholders while focusing on water loss claims. The role is an IN-OFFICE Hybrid Trainee position at our Long Island City, NY office with in-office days Tue–Thu and remote Mon–Fri.

You will inspect damages virtually, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly using Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration. Training and licensing support are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of previous customer service experience required.
• Previous industry experience is highly desired.
• Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for virtual assessments is preferred.
• Ability to assess property damages and accurately determine claim coverage.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with customers and stakeholders remotely.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual work environment.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality and efficient claim resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to policyholders and manage claims on a day-to-day basis.
• Virtually inspect damages, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly.
• Communicate with customers, contractors, and vendors via calls, email, and text messages.
• Negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, and third parties per legal and company standards.
• Utilize multiple tools and settlement platforms to complete tasks quickly and accurately.
• Maintain clear documentation in the claims system and ensure timely updates.
