What You’ll Get To Do
  • Design potable water, domestic and industrial wastewater, stormwater, rainwater harvesting, and other water resources systems.
  • Perform engineering analyses and calculations.
  • Prepare detailed drawings.
  • Develop engineer’s reports and plans.
  • Assemble permit applications and other regulatory reports.
  • Develop construction specifications and contracts.
  • Perform site inspections and sampling.
  • Perform construction inspections.
  • Assist with treatment system operations and maintenance.
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals.
  • Communicate with clients.
Essential Roles And Responsibilities
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
  • Participate in pre-task planning and report safety issues.
  • Maintain quality standards on all projects.
  • Perform site investigations, data collection, site surveys, and field evaluations.
  • Complete evaluations, feasibility studies, and engineer’s estimates.
  • Evaluate groundwater and surface water quality.
  • Design water and wastewater systems, including treatment and distribution.
  • Complete calculations and utilize design software.
  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications.
  • Assist with permit applications and regulatory reports.
  • Support operations and maintenance staff in the field.
  • Support construction project bidding and management.
  • Conduct construction inspections and oversee projects.
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Attend meetings and assist with project proposals and cost estimates.
  • Work with senior project managers for career growth opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 0-2 years’ experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in water/wastewater design, permitting, or related internships.
  • Pennsylvania EIT certification or ability to obtain it.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented with high-quality service commitment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Time management and multitasking skills.
  • Willingness to learn AutoCAD and other design software.
  • Knowledge of PA DEP permitting and design requirements.
  • Experience with field reconnaissance, survey equipment, and data analysis.
  • Experience with water/wastewater treatment operations and inspections.
  • Willing to travel for project sites and meetings.
