Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Montgomery seeks a Water Aerobics Instructor to lead engaging water workouts that help members improve flexibility, strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness. Qualifications

• Current nationally accredited group fitness certification (NASM, ACE, AFFA).
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification.
• Must be able to demonstrate water fitness instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
• One year or more related experience preferred.
• Previous experience working with adults in a program setting and diverse populations.
• Must be confident in the water.

Responsibilities

• Design and instruct water fitness classes in accordance with YMCA guidelines.
• Instruct water fitness classes for a variety of skill levels.
• Prepare lesson plans.
• Give clear directions, cues, and demonstrations.
• Create a safe and positive atmosphere.
• Promote member safety and engagement.
• Help others improve flexibility, strength, endurance, and cardiovascular conditioning.
