Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Montgomery seeks a Water Aerobics Instructor to lead engaging water workouts that help members improve flexibility, strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness. • Current nationally accredited group fitness certification (NASM, ACE, AFFA).
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification.
• Must be able to demonstrate water fitness instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
• One year or more related experience preferred.
• Previous experience working with adults in a program setting and diverse populations.
• Must be confident in the water.

Job description

As a Water Aerobics Instructor, you'll lead fun, energizing workouts that get members moving, smiling, and feeling their best in the water. You'll create a safe, welcoming environment while guiding participants through exercises that build strength, flexibility, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness. Following professional fitness standards and YMCA policies, you'll keep classes engaging, supportive, and motivating for every participant. In addition, every position in the YMCA of Greater Montgomery is responsible for upholding our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
