Job summary

Clermont County Water Resources Department – Wastewater Division is seeking WRD Operators 1–3. Positions involve operating wastewater treatment plants, maintaining equipment, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Starting hourly pay varies by qualifications and license level, with shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; valid Ohio driver’s license.
• Ohio Class 1, 2, or 3 Wastewater Operator’s License as applicable; license requirements vary by Operator level.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain required licenses within specified timeframes.
• Exposure to extreme conditions; ability to perform essential physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment plants and control equipment under supervision.
• Follow regulatory requirements and safety procedures.
• Support maintenance staff and assist with budget-related tasks.
• Perform duties for WRD operations and ensure compliance and efficiency.
