Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment plants and related machinery to convert wastewater into a form that can be safely released.
• Run tests to ensure processes are functioning correctly.
• Keep records of water quality and other indicators.
• Operate and maintain pumps and motors moving water and wastewater through filtration systems.
• Read meters and gauges to verify plant equipment is operating properly.
• Take samples and run tests to determine water quality.
