Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification as Water Treatment Operator Level C by Florida DEP.
• Certification as Waste Water Treatment Operator Level C by Florida DEP.
• Trainee status allowed if lacking certification with reduced pay under training agreement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor water treatment plant controls and equipment.
• Operate wastewater treatment and sludge processing equipment.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment and perform routine lubrication.
• Keep records, prepare reports, and sample waterQuality as needed.
• Direct Water/Wastewater Distribution and Collection Technicians.
• Track equipment usage, inventory, and process supply orders.
• Operate backup generating equipment as required.
