Job summary

The City of Lake Oswego is seeking a qualified Utility Worker in the Wastewater Division of the Public Works Department. This intermediate level role supports wastewater collection operations and offers professional growth within a municipal framework.

The position involves televising/sewer mainline work, pump station maintenance, project execution, and data-driven asset management using CMMS and telemetry systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of general landscape, maintenance, construction work, or related experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet City driving standards.
• CDL within six months of appointment.
• Sewer collections system certification within eighteen months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and televise sanitary sewer mainlines using televising equipment, vacuum equipment, and pipe inspection software.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair pump stations.
• Perform repair and construction projects on sewer mainlines and manholes.
• Complete individual and team projects including locating infrastructure and testing for leaks.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management and telemetry systems to monitor assets and track work.
• Operate CCTV, wastewater flow monitoring, grouting, cleaning, and root control equipment.
• Perform high water pressure cleaning and confined space entries.
