Clariant is seeking a Utilities and Effluent Operator in Mount Holly, NC to operate wastewater treatment and facility utilities. You will follow site procedures, conduct testing, and ensure permit compliance as part of a collaborative team focused on safe operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and basic math/IT skills, with preferred experience in chemical operations. This onsite role includes comprehensive benefits and safety training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; chemical operations experience preferred.
• Basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with others in a complex environment.
• Willingness to operate in varied weather conditions and to learn processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment equipment, processes, and utilities per site procedures and permit conditions.
• Complete training on wastewater systems, utilities, and plant responsibilities.
• Perform testing, sampling, and chemical charging; maintain accurate records and reports.
• Coordinate with production teams to control waste streams and communicate changes.
• Troubleshoot treatment equipment issues and report concerns promptly.
• Follow batch sheets, SOPs, and safety data sheets to ensure safe task completion.
• Participate in Mt. Holly safety program and maintain a safe, orderly work area.
• Frequent forklift operation to move raw materials and finished goods.
