Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience operating municipal wastewater machinery.
• High school or vocational training with college-level wastewater courses.
• Massachusetts DEP Grade 4-M wastewater license or higher.
• Valid Class D driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment and sludge processing systems to control flow and treatment.
• Monitor gauges, meters and control panels; adjust to meet processing requirements.
• Perform sampling and testing to meet NPDES permit requirements.
• Operate chlorine pumps and related equipment with safety precautions.
• Maintain logs and records of operations and maintenance.
• Assist in supervision of helpers as needed.
