Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class II industrial wastewater operator license.
• 4+ years of experience operating a medium-scale wastewater treatment facility.
• In-depth knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations and laboratory procedures.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant corrective actions.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a wastewater treatment plant in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform wastewater sampling and laboratory testing, and initiate corrective actions under supervision.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance activities.
• Support equipment and facility maintenance involving mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform wastewater testing, treatment and reporting activities.
• Support plant safety and wastewater treatment operational requirements.
• Prepare monthly reports and operational documentation.
• Maintain accurate testing and operational records.
• Identify treatment plant issues and support corrective actions under supervision.
• Coordinate assigned tasks with supervisors and other plant personnel.
