Job summary

Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Incorporated is seeking an entry-level Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater team in Wisconsin. You will support planning, design, and construction of wastewater projects while collaborating with engineers, designers, and other professionals.

The role emphasizes learning through projects, internships, and ongoing licensure/certification. SEH offers an entrepreneurial, employee-owned environment with a focus on work-life balance and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field.
• Experience in the design and construction of municipal, state, federal, or industrial wastewater treatment projects.
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment systems, equipment, and regulations.
• Previous engineering internship experience; wastewater-specific preferred.
• Strong interest and coursework related to wastewater/water treatment.

Responsibilities

• Join our wastewater infrastructure team to support planning, design, and construction of wastewater projects.
• Develop creative solutions to wastewater treatment and conveyance challenges with engineers and designers.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative project solutions.
• Build and strengthen client relationships with experienced project managers.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the design and construction of municipal, state, federal, or industrial wastewater treatment projects
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment systems, equipment, and regulations
• Previous engineering internship experience; Wastewater specific highly preferred
• Strong interest and classes related to Wastewater/Water Treatment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the design and construction of municipal, state, federal, or industrial wastewater treatment projects

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $65,000 and $75,000 based on skill set and experience.
