Job summary

Teasdale Latin Foods in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Wastewater Technician to monitor and control discharges, ensuring pH and EC stay within specs, and to maintain Water/Waste Treatment area equipment.

You will read and follow operating instructions, document data, and operate pumps and safety gear. Candidates should have 2+ years in a lab or wastewater setting and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience handling lab instruments such as pH meters and scales.
• At least 2 years of full-time work experience in a lab or wastewater/treatment field, hazardous waste management, or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hourly and daily wastewater discharges to ensure parameters (pH, EC) are within specifications.
• Maintain materials and supplies for Water/Waste Treatment areas.
• Operate and calibrate wastewater system equipment and instruments.
• Read and follow operating instructions and record data.
• Read and adjust instruments, valves, and pumps; transport drums safely using appropriate equipment.
• Operate forklift and pumps (centrifugal, PD, AOD, gear).
• Perform general housekeeping and keep working areas clean and organized.
