Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a team-oriented Wastewater Plant Operator to monitor and control treatment systems. You will operate equipment, collect samples, test water quality, and adjust processes to ensure regulatory compliance during night shifts.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret lab data, and reliable communication with the team. You will work outdoors in varying conditions and support ongoing maintenance and reporting tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Wastewater entry-level licensing or certification preferred.
• Able to read lab data and make process adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full operational coverage of the Wastewater facility, including night shifts.
• Operate pumps, motors, and valves to regulate water flow and collect samples.
• Analyze lab data and implement process changes to prevent non-compliance.
• Coordinate with other operators and Veolia management on equipment and methods.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with minor repairs.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operating reports for management and regulators.
• Coordinate with purchasing for supplies and third-party maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
