Job summary

The City of Corpus Christi is seeking an Utility Technician to operate, maintain, and support six wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, and the wastewater collection system. You will perform process control measurements, help identify maintenance needs, and support preventive maintenance with adherence to TCEQ regulations and City policies.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related experience in wastewater or utilities is required.
• Valid Texas driver's license required; out-of-state candidates must obtain Texas license within 90 days of hiring.
• TCEQ Class D Wastewater Treatment License required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs intermediate to advanced process control measurements and testing.
• Assists in identifying maintenance requirements and preventive maintenance plans.
• Prepares purchasing documents and minor construction contracts in support of maintenance.
