Job summary

Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is seeking a Maintenance & Operations Technician to maintain, repair, and inspect underground pipelines, pumps, and lift stations for the wastewater system. Work may involve jet flush cleaning operations, TV inspections, and pumping station maintenance under supervision or lead direction.

Qualified candidates have CWEA Collection System Maintenance Certification and either two years of related experience with SacSewer, a two-year plumber apprenticeship

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience with SacSewer or similar systems plus CWEA Collection System Maintenance Certification.
• Apprenticeship in plumbing plus one year of related experience and CWEA Certification.
• Three years of related experience in underground systems plus CWEA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and inspect underground pipelines, pumps, and lift stations.
• Perform jet flush cleaning operations.
• Conduct TV inspections of sewer lines.
• Operate and maintain pumping stations.
