Job summary

Leucadia Wastewater District is seeking an entry-level Field Services Technician-in-Training to support maintenance and repair of wastewater collection and treatment facilities. The role requires willingness to work any shift, including holidays and overtime as needed, and to learn under close supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting in pump station and sewer line work, cleaning grit and debris, lubricating equipment, and operating light equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform manual labor tasks and operate hand/power tools safely.
• Ability to work any shift, including holidays, weekends and emergency overtime.
• Strongly motivated to learn and follow instructions under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance, repair and cleaning of sewer lines using power equipment.
• Clean precipitates from pump stations, manholes and other structures.
• Lubricate equipment and assist with pump and motor overhauls.
• Operate lightweight equipment and vehicles and use hand/power tools for maintenance tasks.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance at District facilities.
