Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 2 years of wastewater maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver's license required; Class B CDL required for certain maintenance roles.
  • NM Level II Wastewater Certification required; NM Level III within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintains wastewater plant or systems equipment; perform work on vactor trucks, lift stations, pumps, motors, valves, piping, Genset, blowers, compressors, and related equipment.
  • Provide preventive maintenance of Lift Station equipment to prevent breakdowns; perform in-house Vactor truck repairs.
  • Operate Vactor truck to repair lift stations and prevent spills; return equipment to service promptly.
  • Pull and inspect lift station pumps; fabricate tools/parts to keep equipment operating; assist other crews in sewer line or manhole work.
  • Maintain odor control equipment and keep logs/work orders updated; coordinate parts with vendors.
