Citizens Energy Group is seeking a Wastewater System Specialist in Indianapolis, IN to investigate service requests and plan repairs for wastewater and stormwater systems. The role involves QA/QC inspections, managing the FOG program, and coordinating with multiple departments and external agencies.

The position requires 6+ years of experience, a valid driver's license, and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Must have knowledge of wastewater and stormwater collection system construction and maintenance activities.
• Must be detailed, highly organized and able to prioritize and demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read drawings and maps and interpret manuals.
• Ability to work with customers and the public and communicate with management.

Aufgaben

• Use InforPS and GIS to document, diagnose, and plan repairs or alternatives for storm and wastewater service requests.
• Inspect a sampling of subcontractor construction work to ensure compliance with wastewater or stormwater standards.
• Assist in managing the FOG program by researching and tracking service requests and coordinating with the Health Department for education and enforcement.
• Coordinate with field operations and submit IDEM 5-Day Sewer Overflow/bypass reports as required by NPDES permit.
• Conduct dye tests to confirm sewer connections and communicate with trust departments.
• Inspect Self-Reporter meter installations and perform site visits; handle technical assignments.
• Serve as On-Call supervisor for after-hour storms and emergencies; supervise bargaining staff and contractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
