Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a wastewater engineer to help build and operate the wastewater infrastructure for a major semiconductor facility. The role supports design, installation, commissioning and ongoing production, with initial work in Tempe and Peoria before transitioning to Peoria for factory operations.

Required: a bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering and at least three years in wastewater treatment; semiconductor experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum of three years in wastewater treatment; semiconductor experience preferred.
• Knowledge of biological, chemical and physical treatment processes.
• Familiarity with SCADA and automated monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office; strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, commission, and start-up wastewater treatment systems.
• Oversee operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Track water quality, flows, chemical use, and equipment performance.
• Support permitting, regulatory reports and environmental approvals.
• Identify opportunities to reduce water use and improve efficiency.
• Ensure safe practices for chemical handling and confined spaces.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, vendors and internal teams.
