Job summary

WorkNovaX is seeking an experienced Facilities Wastewater Engineer in the Phoenix area to support design, construction, commissioning and operations for a new OSAT facility. You will ensure regulatory compliance, manage permits, and optimize treatment operations to meet ESG goals.

Responsibilities span design through full-scale operations with a focus on continuous improvement in water management and safety. Collaboration with engineering teams and contractors is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment operations, preferably in semiconductor.
• Strong knowledge of biological, chemical, and physical treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, installation, and commissioning of wastewater treatment systems for the organic, inorganic waste treatment and BRF facilities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors to ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Oversee daily operation of wastewater treatment plants, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of water quality, flow rates, and chemical usage.
• Permitting: Ensure compliance with the county regulations. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies. Support ongoing efforts to develop and secure wastewater discharge permits and related environmental approvals.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce water consumption, improve treatment efficiency, and minimize discharge impact.
• Enforce safety protocols for chemical handling and equipment operation.
• Support corporate sustainability goals and ESG reporting related to water management.
