Job summary

The Wastewater Supervisor at Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) will oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the Constantine, Michigan wastewater treatment facility. You will lead operations staff, ensure permits are met, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating across departments.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in industrial wastewater and a track record in supervising teams, with strong troubleshooting and data interpretation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial wastewater treatment experience.
• Experience with biological wastewater treatment processes.
• Supervisory or team development experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation and monitoring of the wastewater system.
• Ensure environmental permits and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records, sampling, testing and reporting.
• Supervise, coach and develop wastewater operators.
• Support training, certification and workforce development.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations and Environmental teams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and corrective actions.
• Participate in capital projects and equipment upgrades.
• Respond to incidents and on-call situations.
