Job summary

Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) is seeking a Wastewater Supervisor to oversee the safe, compliant operation of its Constantine, Michigan wastewater facility. You will lead daily operations, ensure permit compliance, maintain records, and coach operators to support reliable treatment processes across plant operations.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations and Environmental teams, driving continuous improvement, and participating in capital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial wastewater treatment experience.
• Experience with biological wastewater treatment processes.
• Michigan Industrial Wastewater Operator Certification or ability to obtain within timeframe.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret process and laboratory data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation and monitoring of the wastewater treatment system.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records, sampling, testing, and reporting activities.
• Supervise and develop wastewater operators.
• Support operator training and workforce development.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Environmental teams to ensure reliable operations.
• Participate in capital projects and system improvements.
• Respond to environmental incidents and emergency situations; participate in on-call rotations.
