Job summary

GMB is seeking two mid-to-senior Wastewater Engineers with 5–7+ years of municipal experience to lead design, permitting, and client management for WWTPs, pumping stations, and networks across Maryland, Delaware, and the eastern shore of Virginia.

The role offers true hybrid schedule flexibility, opportunities for project leadership, and a highly competitive compensation package with a salary up to $140,000 plus performance bonuses. GMB supports relocation for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in MD or ability to reciprocity within 90 days.
• 5–7+ years of progressive municipal wastewater experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, permitting, and client management for WWTPs, pumping stations, and collection systems across MD/DE/VA.
• Navigate MDE, DNREC, VA DEQ, EPA approvals and other agencies.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets; mentor junior staff.
• Present findings to municipal clients at public meetings and agency reviews.
