Job summary

George, Miles & Buhr, LLC seeks two mid-to-senior Wastewater Engineers (5-7+ years) to lead design, permitting, and client management for complex WWTPs, pumping stations, and collection systems across Maryland, Delaware, and the eastern shore of Virginia.

You will mentor EITs and CAD designers, oversee scopes and budgets, and collaborate with MDE, DNREC, VA DEQ, and EPA for approvals, with a hybrid schedule balancing Salisbury office work and remote tasks.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years of municipal wastewater engineering experience.
• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
• Maryland P.E. license or eligible for reciprocity within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design, permitting, and client management for wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and collection networks.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets; mentor EITs and CAD designers.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies (MDE, DNREC, VA DEQ, EPA) for approvals.
• Present technical findings at public workshops, city council meetings, and agency reviews.
