What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the planning and design of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Perform hydraulic modelling and wastewater flow analysis to support innovative engineering solutions.
- Conduct field investigations and site assessments to inform project design.
- Develop cost estimates, technical specifications, and bid documentation.
- Provide engineering support throughout procurement and construction, including responding to contractor questions and reviewing submittals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, electrical, and surveying professionals.
- Build strong relationships with municipal clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overall project delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the team.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas.
- 10+ years of experience delivering municipal water and wastewater engineering projects (15+ years preferred).
- Strong technical expertise across water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems.
- Experience preparing engineering reports, calculations, and construction documentation.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or GIS is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and project site visits.
