Job summary

WM is seeking a Director, Wastewater Process Engineer to lead landfill liquids management and treatment initiatives across the enterprise. You will drive policy development, oversee compliance, and provide technical leadership for major projects, partnering with internal and external experts.

You will monitor regulatory trends, translate insights into strategic plans, and lead a team of staff and consultants to improve efficiencies and environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Environmental Management, Biology, Chemistry or similar.
• At least 10 years overall experience with 7+ years in industrial wastewater design/operations.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide initiatives for landfill liquids management and treatment.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and environmental standards across facilities.
• Provide technical leadership for complex projects and new technologies.
• Collaborate with internal and external SMEs on research and development.
