Job summary

WM seeks a Director, Wastewater Process Engineer to lead enterprise-wide initiatives for landfill liquids management and treatment. You will establish policies, oversee operations, and drive best practices across facilities, reporting to the Sr.

Director of ES&W T Program. You will provide technical leadership for complex projects, develop innovative treatment solutions, and collaborate with internal and external experts on R&D initiatives, while aligning with environmental standards and

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
At least 10 years overall experience; 7+ years in industrial wastewater design/operations.
Master’s degree preferred; 10+ years experience; 3+ years of management preferred.
PE license preferred but not required.
Experience in environmental engineering focusing on landfill liquids handling, treatment and disposal.

Responsibilities

Directs research and guidance on landfill liquids handling and treatment.
Leads permitting, design, and construction of leachate treatment facilities.
Uses flow and mass balance tools to improve performance of treatment facilities.
Develops innovative treatment solutions and oversees implementation.
Ensures regulatory compliance and environmental standards across facilities.
