The Wastewater Preventative Maintenance position involves duties associated with the repair, inspection and maintenance of buildings and process equipment at the wastewater treatment plant.
Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED. A valid Ohio Driver's license with a safe driving record and a drug screening are required. Familiarity with basic maintenance and operational tasks involving manual labor, preventative care, general repairs, maintaining records, and utilizing tools and equipment to make and/or modify parts or equivalent is preferred.
Candidates for this position should possess experience in routine plant equipment maintenance, equipment lubrication schedules, asset management in a factory/industrial setting, and techniques to proactively avoid unplanned equipment downtime. Familiarity with wastewater treatment is preferable. Familiarity with electronic work orders for maintenance. Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to have effective working relationships with fellow coworkers, public officials, the general public, contractors, consultants and customers is preferred. This position may require overtime, shift, weekend and holiday work.
