Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking a Wastewater Practice Leader to drive design excellence and client value within our Southeast One Water team in Florida. The role leads wastewater process design projects, mentors staff, and shapes service offerings while overseeing QA/QC and industry engagement.

A PE license and ABET-accredited degree are required, with 8+ years of experience. Ideal candidates bring Florida market experience, participation in wastewater organizations, and strong project management and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in environmental, civil, chemical or closely related engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• At least eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states.
• Florida wastewater market experience (preferred).
• Experience participating in wastewater technical organization activities (preferred).
• Technical oversight on wastewater projects (preferred).
• Biosolids experience (preferred).
• Experience mentoring staff (preferred).
• Project management experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Providing technical guidance to project teams on wastewater process design projects.
• Assisting in the development of wastewater service offerings, technical resources and business development.
• Leading QA/QC on wastewater projects.
• Monitoring marketplace and jurisdictional mandates and trends to provide guidance to clients.
• Managing wastewater process design projects.
• Preparing technical papers and other items for presentations at conferences, blogs, etc.
• Mentoring staff.
