Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Wastewater Practice and Growth Leader to shape the future of our wastewater business in Boise and Idaho.

You will drive project excellence, mentor staff, strengthen client relationships, and lead market growth in partnership with regional leadership. You will balance hands-on design with business development, collaborating with local, regional, and national wastewater leaders to deliver innovative solutions and build high-performing teams in Boise.

Your impact

We’re seeking a Wastewater Practice and Growth Leader to help shape the future of our wastewater business across Boise and the greater Idaho market. In this role, you will drive project excellence, mentor project managers and technical staff, strengthen client relationships, and lead market growth in partnership with regional leadership.

As a key leader within the wastewater market, you will balance seller/doer responsibilities, combining hands‑on technical delivery with business development, client leadership, and people management. You’ll collaborate closely with our local, regional, and national wastewater leaders to deliver high-quality, innovative wastewater solutions for our clients—while building and developing high-performing teams in Boise.

This role is ideal for a motivated leader who wants to grow a market, lead people, serve clients, and continue advancing their career within Jacobs’ global water business.

Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental or Mechanical preferred)
  • Educational emphasis and a strong interest in wastewater treatment system design and operation
  • Professional Engineer license (P.E.) or ability to obtain
  • Proven experience managing and designing small and large wastewater treatment projects
  • Self‑motivation, team‑oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem‑solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
Ideally, you’ll also have:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical preferred)
  • 10 or more years of direct experience in wastewater treatment systems planning and design
  • Strong network and relationships with Idaho municipal or industrial clients on wastewater treatment system projects

The base salary range for this position is $134,500.00 to $210,250.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
