Job summary

Veolia is seeking a wastewater facility operator to perform day-to-day operation and maintenance of the wastewater plant and related infrastructure. You will support project management, execute routine PMs, collect samples, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, data interpretation, and experience with SCADA/PLC systems. Weekend and on-call shifts are required to support continuous operations and safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of wastewater or related field experience preferred.
• Experience in laboratory or utility-related work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater facility day-to-day under Project Management.
• Perform routine PM activities on infrastructure and equipment.
• Conduct wastewater sampling and laboratory monitoring per requirements.
• Maintain equipment, records, and compliance with EH&S procedures.
• Work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as scheduled.
• Respond to emergencies and additional tasks as needed.
• Operate project vehicles and heavy equipment as required.
• Ensure safe, clean, and organized facilities.
