Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of wastewater treatment operations experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Washington State Operator IV certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with asset management systems and CMMS.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, mechanical/electrical systems, and safety practices.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook; valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local wastewater regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise wastewater treatment plant operations staff and plan/schedule work activities.
• Act as Operator in Charge when required and ensure regulatory permits compliance.
• Respond to upsets, emergencies, and on-call situations; provide training and mentorship.
• Diagnose equipment failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with team on asset management, work orders, and reporting.
