Job summary

Veolia is hiring a Wastewater Plant Operator in Crockett, CA to oversee daily operation and maintenance of the treatment facility. The role combines inside and outside duties, including SCADA monitoring, data analysis, and filter press management to ensure regulatory compliance and plant efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in wastewater or related fields, a valid CA SWRCB operator certification, and strong problem-solving and communication skills for team collaboration and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ wastewater treatment or related experience.
• Valid California SWRCB Wastewater Operator Certification required.
• Experience with SCADA, data logging and lab testing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust plant processes using SCADA and control interfaces.
• Analyze data from meters and analyzers to optimize operations.
• Perform routine laboratory tests for discharge permit compliance.
• Inspect and maintain pumps, valves, tanks, and other equipment.
• Operate and maintain the filter press for sludge dewatering.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance across operations.
• Document performance, maintenance, and adjustments in logs.
• Collaborate with staff and report needs to supervisors.
