Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee program and certification as a wastewater treatment plant operator for any class and type of plant, or possession of a valid certification issued by the PA State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators.

Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance: Repair plumbing fixtures, install electrical components, and maintain buildings.
Grounds Care: Operate mowing, trimming, and cutting equipment for outdoor areas.
System Operation: Operate, test, and maintain sewage treatment and public water systems.
Equipment Use: Select and use hand and power tools for projects.
Documentation: Complete MV-614 forms accurately for records.
Environmental Practices: Apply sound environmental procedures and participate in trainings.
