Job summary

The City of Paris Wastewater Treatment Plant is seeking a responsible Operator III to monitor, operate, and control plant processes under the supervision of the Plant Superintendent.

Responsibilities include sampling, SCADA-driven chemical adjustments, pump control, and maintaining operational records while working rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. A Class B license is mandatory, with a Texas driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must possess Class B Wastewater Treatment Operator license (Texas).
• Valid Texas Class C driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze wastewater samples from all phases of the treatment process.
• Use SCADA to adjust chemical levels to ensure proper residuals.
• Adjust pumps to maintain proper flow and keep accurate records.
• Operate and maintain all aspects of the wastewater plant; rotate shifts including weekends and holidays.
