Job summary

The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) seeks a Water Plant Operator II to perform operation, maintenance and monitoring of water treatment facilities including raw water intakes, basins, and filtration with SCADA oversight, ensuring asset condition and water quality meet safety standards.

You will work with supervisory staff and other operators to optimize processes, monitor chemical dosages, calibrate laboratory equipment, maintain logs, and respond to alarms per NTMWD safety

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or GED and two years of water treatment experience.
• Maintain a Texas Class C Water Treatment Operator license.
• Requires a valid Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor water treatment facilities and SCADA systems to ensure water quality and safety.
• Perform laboratory tests and calibrate equipment to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Adjust chemical dosages and monitor process parameters.
• Maintain logs and coordinate with maintenance and operators.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies per safety guidelines.
