Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN), parent company of Liberty, is seeking an Operator IV (Team Lead) to supervise wastewater treatment operations and lead Liberty staff and contractor crews. The role focuses on safe, compliant operation, monitoring, sampling, and maintenance across facilities.

The position emphasizes strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to respond to process upsets, with rotating shifts and a goal of reliability and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations.
• Arizona ADEQ Grade 4 Operator License required.
• Senior knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, pumps, mechanical equipment, instrumentation and lab procedures.
• Ability to read meters, gauges, drawings and operating procedures.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Organize, lead, and direct Liberty staff and contractors as required.
• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
• Analyze job details and emergencies to make thorough decisions.
• Monitor pumps, motors, blowers, valves, clarifiers, aerators and related systems.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and compliance records; perform required lab tests.
