Job summary

Aqua is seeking a Facility Operator to support water production facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and the distribution system. The role reports to the Field Supervisor and covers a broad set of operation and maintenance tasks essential to reliable service. Progression paths include FO Trainee through FO III with licensing milestones.

The job requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and a preference for licensed operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
• Strong preference for experienced and licensed water and/or wastewater operators.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment at water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operates and maintains distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Maintains equipment at wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operates and maintains sewer collection systems including mains and pump stations.
• Troubleshoots and repairs service piping and related equipment.
• Performs routine water quality analysis and ensures compliance with standards.
• Adjusts chemical treatment to meet water quality standards.
